Position Description:
|
|
The After-School Support Staff is responsible for providing after-school child-watch for elementary students for 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours between the time that students are dismissed from school and when they are to be tutored.
|
|
|
|
Primary Accountabilities/ Deliverables:
|
|
|
Be available 2-3 days per week (Tues/Wed/Thurs) to provide after-school child watch for students who are waiting to be tutored.
Transition students from school dismissal area to the designated after-school child-watch area
Administer Snacks
Transition students from the after-school child watch area to their tutorial classrooms
Participate in Florida Smart Kids trainings
Assist students with homework during their-child watch
Maintain an orderly environment for 15-20 students

Education, Certifications, and Work Related Experiences:
|
|
Paraprofessional or Experience with providing supervision to elementary-aged students
|
|
|
|
|
Technical Skills and Competencies:
|
|
Possess strong student management skills
Display effective multi-tasking and time management skills
Maintain regular email communication
|
|
|
|
|
Working Conditions:
|
|
The After-School Support Staff will be working in public school settings where they will be responsible for providing homework assistance, a snack, and child-watch for 15-20 students.
