Our Approach

Florida Smart Kids Learning Institute holds the belief that all students are capable of reaching their educational goals with the proper support and practice. This is why we have developed a tutoring program that is based on frequent assessments and researched-based instruction. Our students are given a diagnostic assesssment during our initial sessions and are then placed in homogeneous reading level groups. Our small group instruction and comprehensive reading intervention curriculum are paired together for maximum student reading improvement.

Our Intervention Curriculum covers the five areas of reading:

• Phonics
• Phonemic Awareness
• Comprehension
• Vocabulary
• Fluency

With practice in oral reading, word study, comprenhension strategies, and other essential reading skills, students in our program show improvement at all levels.
